At 520 Hilliard Blvd, the Manahawkin Elks Lodge #2340 has built something that most organizations only talk about: a room where people genuinely enjoy each other. Reviews describe it as a place where everybody knows your name, and that reputation didn't happen by accident. It grew out of decades of Friday night dinners, holiday craft shows, charitable giving, and groups like the Drunken Clams who turned a membership card into a circle of real friends.

The lodge draws a crowd that spans generations, from longtime Ocean County residents to newer families settling in the Barnegat Bay area. The indoor and outdoor spaces host everything from seasonal vendor markets to community fundraisers, giving members and visitors alike a reason to come back week after week.

With a 4.8-star rating across 117 reviews, this isn't a lodge coasting on legacy. It's an active, alive community hub that takes its BPOE mission seriously: charity, justice, brotherly love, and fidelity. If you've been looking for a place to plug into Manahawkin's social fabric, this is it.

What We Offer

The lodge offers a full calendar of events and member benefits that go well beyond a meeting room. Friday night dinners are the anchor of the week, consistently praised for delicious food and a warm, no-pretense atmosphere that feels more like a family kitchen than a banquet hall.

Beyond dining, the venue hosts holiday craft shows with a mix of indoor and outdoor vendors at reasonable price points, making it a local favorite for seasonal shopping. The event space is available for private gatherings, and the lodge actively supports community charitable programs tied to the national Elks mission, including youth scholarships and veterans' services.

Membership opens the door to a social calendar packed with activities, volunteer opportunities, and the kind of camaraderie that's genuinely hard to find. Whether you're joining a group like the Drunken Clams or simply showing up for a Friday meal, the Manahawkin Elks gives you real reasons to leave the house.

"I am the soda & beer gas vendor. Now if you judge this place by the bartender (normal Tuesday guy) and the regular customers it's GRRAT! They have a CHEERS attitude here. Never heard a grumpy miserable comment from anyone. Who am I? I'm the friendly Vineland Syrup driver Donnie. CHEERS!"

Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
